<nowiki>Decanted two years after the Battle of Naboo that saw the Trade Federation humiliated, the clone known as RK-0336 was still in training when the Clone Wars began in 22 BBY, though he joined the fight less than a year later. His RK designation was for &quot;Recon, Kinetic,&quot; and he was trained to insert into hot spots, to observe, loiter and sabotage as necessary and appropriate. He spent his entire career with the Grand Army of the Republic serving in the 336th Attack Battalion which principally focused on the Mid-Rim Campaigns; his clone number of 0336 inevitably led to him being being designated &quot;Luck&quot; as the other troopers in his Battalion considered him a lucky charm; this was clearly not the case as he was injured nine times in the three years he served. Two Jedi, a master and her padawan, were attached to the 336th for as long as he served.</nowiki>

<nowiki>In 20 BBY, while participating in the First Siege of Phantine, &quot;Luck&quot; was critically injured by a blaster shot to the face. Though he lost an eye, his bucket protected him from the worst of the damage, but still, he was incapacitated for a period of three full months before returning to active duty.</nowiki>

<nowiki>In 19 BBY, while participating in the Second Siege of Phantine, Clone Protocal 66 was executed, reclassifying all Jedi as traitors to be exterminated on sight. Despite his best efforts, &quot;Luck&quot; was unable to entirely countermand the override instructions from the behavior inhibitor chip in his brain and, like his brothers, turned his weapons on the Jedi. The Knight died, though he did so buying time to ensure the padawan would be able to escape. As a &quot;Recon, Kinetic&quot; trooper, &quot;Luck&quot; was one of the personnel dispatached to take down the escaping student. Fortunately for the Padawan, when &quot;Luck&quot; had been shot in the face a year earlier, his chip had been damaged and now, it failed completely, prompting him to begin second-guessing the instructions he received. Despite having a clear shot at the Padawan, &quot;Luck&quot; did not take the shot and would report to senior command that he'd confirmed the Padawan's death.</nowiki>

<nowiki>For just over a standard year, RK-0336 served as a stormtrooper in the newly established New Order, during which time he tried very hard to fit in with his brothers, though the nine official reprimands for questioning orders in that time were quite indicative of his struggle. Ultimately, however, his loyalty was the Republic, not this ... Empire and he deserted following a routine pacification operation that turned into a massacre. He would spend the next fifteen standard years eking out a living by doing the only thing he knew: fighting as a mercenary and insurgent in one group of would-be rebels or criminals after another. One thing has never changed, though: his desire to see the Republic restored.</nowiki>
