Across the water to the south-east lies the Crown Lands, a vast kingdom under a king — a true monarchy of a kind the Free Cities have spent their whole history defining themselves against.
Free Cities ships meet Crown Lands shipping at the eastern approaches, near Eastwatch and the Breach, but the kingdom's interior and its politics lie beyond the edge of the regional map.
