Background
- Born in [date], to a upper middleclass family.
- For reasons TBD, family moved West, to Columbus, OH, when he was a teen.
- Parents wanted him to go to have a proper education and he went to medical school
- Mom or dad or both were killed by bad people that were trying to extort his family
- Doc goes on killing spree a la "Punisher" and kills most of the bad guys earning him the nickname "The Butcher of Purgatory" (Noodle Incident)
- Chief Deputy US Marshal Charles C. Tompkins of the Southern Ohio District captures Doc and gives him a chance to capture the rest of the gang legally
- Doc becomes a deputy marshal and turns a new leaf to capture the remaining bandidos
- Doc becomes a respected lawman for several years; overlapping time of civil war
- Meets a nice Mexican girl and they get married, have 1 kid (Marisol)
- Job is too hazardous, bad guys he puts in jail threaten his family; wife killed
- Doc feels he has too much to lose and decides to retire as lawman and put his education to use and become a doctor; moved to Tompkins' district, just appointed US Marshal of Colorado
- Marisol remains in Columbus with the grandparents
