Aqshy
Each of the eight winds of magic (Aqshy, Azyr, Chamon, Ghyran, Ghur, Hysh, Shyish, and Ulgu) have their own dedicated college of magic. As each college is focused on only one of the winds, spell choice is limited.
The Lore of Fire (Bright Wizards)
Aqshy, the Lore of Fire, also called the Seventh Lore and known in Grand Cathay as the Burning Winds or the Elemental Wind of Fire, is the Red Wind of Magic, and it is the coalesence within the Aethyr of the emotional experience and abstract of passion among mortals in its widest possible sense. It is the projection into the Aethyr of the emotions of brashness, courage, and enthusiasm. It is also an expression of the mortal feelings of warmth and heat that is often felt in a state of high emotion.
Aqshy blows down from the north as a hot and searing Wind of Magic, unnoticed by those not sensitive to the Aethyric currents. It is attracted to wherever there is passion, argument, or excitement. Actual physical flame also seems to draw the power of Aqshy.
Human wizards who feel the pull of Aqshy the strongest usually train as pyromancers of the Bright Order in the Imperial Orders of Magic. Those who do not get proper training often lose control of their powers and destroy themselves -- and others -- accidentally.
Recommended Advantages: Combat Reflexes, Imperial Militia Rank, Languages, Patron (Bright Order), Rank (Bright Order).
Recommended Disadvantages: Bad Temper, Distinctive Features (Facial tattoos), Duty (Bright Order), Hyperactive (quirk), Vulnerability (Cold damage x2).
Recommended Skills: Leadership, Fire Eating, Savoir-Faire (Military), Soldier, Thaumatology, Weapon skills.
Allowed GURPS Colleges: Body Control, Fire, Making and Breaking, Meta-Spells, Movement, Protection & Warning, Sound. The Lore of Fire also includes crude healing spells, so they can learn Minor Healing (along with the prereqs) from the GURPS Healing College (with the caveat that it leaves a burn scar) but cannot learn Major or Great Healing.
