Rhain is a perfect example of how careful one must be when they gain a reputation; he earned his without doing anything! Thanks to a perpetually 'grumpy' expression, he was nicknamed thus and has been unable to shake that name since. In recent years, he truly has become grumpy because of this.
Now if he could only find the little bastard who first coined this name...
Rhain was badly injured by Roman soldiers under the command of Quintus Severus during his sack of Vertis but has survived his injuries.
