Background
Michael was born and raised in the suburbs of Knight City, in an otherwise unremarkable family: two parents, and a younger sister. He spent much of his time with his lifelong friend, Raphael D'Angelo, with whom he intended to join the Army after high school. However, in his sophomore year, Rafe's eyes began to mutate, resulting in vision problems that ultimately disqualified him from military service—Rafe insisted Michael go on without him. Michael spent four years in the Army, including a combat tour in West-Asia. He craved the (occasional) thrill of field operations, but the drudgery and bureaucracy that went with it wore him down, enough that he did not re-enlist when his term-of-service ended. Instead, knowing of the rising crime rates back home, he returned to Knight City to become a policeman—chasing down bad-guys might calm his craving for action, while helping make his old neighborhood safer.
- Ex-Army, infantry, stationed in Germany and later Georgia. Airborne? Ranger?
- Rough+stable marriage (0-kids?)
- Driver, sports car/tuner enthusiast; sometimes acts as Rafe's "transporter"
- Occasionally headhunted by PMC outfits
- Gun enthusiast
- Smokes
- Maverick (Good) Cop with a desk job (evidence? dispatch?) due to being a little too "upright" about corruption
- If dispatch, he can pass on coded messages to someone listening on a scanner…
- Possibly put him in KC Transit cops? (covering the subway)
Supporting Cast
- Kit Fox: wife, bartender.
- [TBD]: supervisor at work.
- Rachel Ritter: coworker.
Kit Fox
Born: Karen Reeser
Actor: Katherine Waterston, Ref: Alien: Covenant
- Met at Mike's coming-home party
- Bartender, works nights a lot
- Just as nuts as Mike is—why he likes her
- Married 3 years, dated 1 year
- Rafe missed the wedding (in Japan) & hates himself for it
- She bought him the wolf mask for halloween
- Does not (currently) know about the vigilante stuff
- Never met Rafe until he returned, but heard all the stories
Hero-Work
- =Hero instigator, Power Trio #2 (Lancer)
- Occasionally uses a wolf mask on ops. Has a wingsuit for special occasions.
- (Soon) Knows Rafe's hero ID, and can be found at his lair/cave. Does not usually interact directly with Gabriel, but does know of him (does interact with Yuri)
Other Notes
Traits
Army Training; Expert Driver; Police Training
For the GM
- Will eventually develop a persona of his own for this "side job," using the wolf-mask. After using the wingsuit at least once, the name "Foxbat" will start being used.
- Narrative: In ~15-20 years, will be killed in action, after which Rafe will finally turn a bit dark
Notes
Trivia
- Original "Virtual Comics" character (didn't include the married-life, though)
